Biography: Latasha is the President of Appetite For Change (AFC), where she leads the organization's vision, programming, and growth. A lifelong resident of North Minneapolis, she has been at the forefront of the local food justice movement, working tirelessly to improve food access and empower Northside families. Before co-founding AFC, Latasha was a preschool Teacher at Northside Child Development Center, a Certified Nursing Assistant and Personal Care Assistant.
As a co-founder of AFC in 2011, LaTasha has helped transform the organization from a small startup with just $25,000 into a thriving $4 million network of ten enterprises and community-focused programs. Before stepping into the role of President, she served as the organization’s Chief Operating Officer, leading and shaping every aspect of AFC’s operations.
Latasha holds a Bachelor of Arts from Metro State University, where she graduated Cum Laude and was recognized as Alumna of the Year in 2017. Her dedication to community and food justice continues to drive AFC’s mission, positively impacting countless lives in North Minneapolis and beyond.
