Biography: Andre Dukes oversees the Community Power and Impact strategy, which focuses on ensuring that NAZ families are equipped with the knowledge and skills to support academic success and to advocate for themselves through the NAZ Family Academy and civic engagement strategies. Throughout his career, he has learned a great deal about how experiences shape child behavior, and how strong communities, environments, and supports can promote healthy development and prevent harmful behavior in children. Andre is a community Pastor and partners with Hennepin County and the City of Minneapolis on youth violence prevention. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Minnesota Graduate School of Theology and a Master's degree in Applied Child and Adolescent Development from the University of Minnesota Center for Early Education Development. He is also an instructor in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and is a Cradle to Career Partner fellow with Ed Redesign at Harvard University.
