ROSEAU COUNTY 4-H UPCOMING EVENTS FOR CLOVERBUDS (GR. K-2)
January 4, 2023 - Horse PDC Meeting (meet the Regional Animal Science Educator, Macy Miller), Roseau County Courthouse Boardroom
or via Zoom 6:30-8:00 p.m. Macy will be supporting youth in Roseau County interested in the horse project while Kelsey is
on maternity leave.
May 2024 - Animal ID Deadline (have your animal ID’d if you are planning to bring to fair) - Reach out to staff if you have questions
regarding animal science projects for Cloverbuds
June 2024 - Summer Day Camps (Dates and Locations TBD)
June 2024 - Demonstrations Do a public presentation demonstrating how to do something, give a speech, etc.
June 2024 - Performing Arts Perform a talent you may have (dancing, singing, playing an instrument, acting, clowning, etc.)
June 2024 - Fashion Revue Create or buy an outfit to showcase!
June 2024 - Food Revue Create a menu and present it with a table setting display and an item from your menu!
July 2024 - Roseau County Project Showcase events at the Roseau County 4-H Bring a project you have been working on at home (paper
airplane, animal, photograph, rocket, plant, art, food, sewing, etc.), share with a judge and then have it showcased at the fair for the
week!
COMMUNITY CLUBS
Check out these local 4-H community clubs in the Greenbush, Badger, Roseau, Warroad, and Grygla communities!
These clubs are led by youth officers and adult volunteers. The club meets monthly or around six times a year and sets their schedule in October. Community clubs provide a space for 4-Hers to share youth voice and plan project learning and community service opportunities. Families with youth in grades K-13 are welcome! Down on the Farm, K-3 Animal Science Series:
Virtual - At Home Cost: FREE
Explore the wonderful world of animal science through hands-on activities and guest speakers. We’ll learn about beef cattle, swine, horses and chickens from industry professionals as we tour their facilities. Sessions will be held on Saturdays in January (6, 13, 20, 27). After each lesson, youth can work on at-home activities.
Youth have the opportunity to sign up for individual sessions or all four sessions, depending on their interest. Sessions will be held via Zoom from 10-10:30 a.m.; links will be provided once registration is complete. Registration is free and can be completed in 4HOnline under ‘Events’. Minnesota 4-H A Day in the Life Photo Challenge

Minnesota 4-H photography is excited to offer a statewide photography challenge open to youth in grades K-13! Capture a moment in your life each day for a week. Document your daily activities as they unfold naturally - mealtime, friends, family, hobbies, backyard, animals, etc. Registration is free and can be completed in 4HOnline under ‘Events’. Minnesota 4-H Livestock in a Box
Virtual - At Home Cost: $25/kit
The Minnesota 4-H livestock in a box series is back! The 4-H animal science team is excited to roll out the second collection of learning kits for youth to explore animal science. This year's 4-H livestock in a box series will focus on the animal science project areas of pets (dog and cat), beef, sheep and swine. The lessons and hands-on learning activities are designed to be assisted by an adult for Cloverbud aged youth. Boxes are $25 each, which includes shipping directly to homes. Families may select individual boxes or order the entire series. Registration can be completed in 4HOnline under ‘Events’. You only need to register once and can attend any or all sessions.
