Workshop Format/Location
The workshop will begin at 8am on Wednesday, May 14th in Tate Hall (116 Church Street) at the University of Minnesota in Room B20.
The final oral and poster presentation programs are posted on our website.
Instructions for Oral Presenters
Oral presentations will be conducted from a central computer. Please upload your talk to this Google Drive at least 24 hours before your presentation. The Drive is organized into subfolders by presentation order-- please confirm on the program when your talk will be and upload your presentations (in Powerpoint, Keynote, Google Slides, or PDF format) to the appropriate folder.
The duration of your talk as publicly posted includes time for Q&A. Most oral presentations are 20 minutes, so plan for 15 minutes of presentation time and 5 minutes for questions. Please do not exceed your allotted time. We have a very full program and session chairs have been instructed to maintain the program on time. The presentations will not be streamed.
As for previous workshops, all slides will be posted and stored on the workshop website and will become public after the workshop.
Instructions for Poster Presenters
Posters can be up to 3 feet x 4 feet in size. Clips and tacks will be provided to attach the posters to their poster-board backing.
Please hang the poster according to your poster number.
There will be 4 poster sessions split to A and B sessions. You will be given a small card, to be attached to your poster, on which your session will be indicated. Please plan to remain by your poster during your designated sessions.

Reception, Lunch, and Dinner
A light breakfast (hot drinks and pastries/bagels) will be served each morning of the workshop. Coffee and a light refreshments will also be made available throughout the day.
There is a reception in the atrium of the Physics and Nanotechnology Building on Thursday evening, 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Appetizers will be served, and a cash bar will be available. The cash bar accepts cash or credit cards.
There is a selection of restaurants on Washington Avenue, 5 minute walk from the conference venue, and in Dinkytown which is 10-15 walk away. Coffman Memorial Student Union also has a variety of lunch food available.

Workshop Code of Conduct

All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience including people of many different backgrounds. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate.
Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other attendees.
Participants asked to stop any inappropriate behavior are expected to comply immediately. Attendees violating these rules may be asked to leave the event at the sole discretion of the organizers without a refund of any charge.
