Headwaters Economics is a free and powerful resource for gathering information about economic and demographic trends in your community. However, reports on demographic trends are available for each city).

Some helpful tips:
Sorting is the key to making this data useful.
Sorting by the first column (level) will change the level of industry analysis. Level 2 is the two-digit North American Industrial Classification System code. This represents the broadest grouping of industries. Level 6 is the six-digit NAICS code, the most specific industry type in the United States. The tradeoff we encounter when looking at industry data, especially at a small geographic scale like a city or zip code, is that most data is unavailable. So, we can either look at a broader industry code (lower level) or a larger geography to get information.
Then, look at the other variables and sort those columns from largest to smallest.
As with all data analysis, a graph can be helpful.
