BE THE MATCH
About Us
What is Survivorship?
Survivorship is about all the ways—physical, emotional, social and spiritual—that a person lives after a serious event. Some people use the word to describe life after BMT. Others use it to describe life after any life-threatening diagnosis. And there are also people who don’t like the word. There is no right or wrong way to think of survivorship.
About Be The Match
For the thousands of people diagnosed every year with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, a cure exists. Over the past 30 years Be The Match ®, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program ® (NMDP), has managed the most diverse marrow registry in the world. We work every day to save lives through cell therapy.
We are here to help you get reliable support and easy-to-read information throughout your treatment journey, from diagnosis through survivorship. Call or email us for confidential, one-on-one support from our BMT Navigators. We'll listen and help you find answers. All of our programs and resources are free. CODE WORD: MATCH
