I am a huge fan of the Inquiry Based Learning (IBL) program at University of Michigan.
I had personally benefited from the IBL approach used in Math 55 at Harvard University (which inspired me to start to start math in my junior year of college!), where the instructor would motivate us to think like the first mathematicians who faced the problems. We were able to learn 3 years of undergraduate Analysis (from Advanced Calculus to Differential Geometry to Real Analysis) in just one semester, and it laid a solid foundation for my work today.
I sincerely hope to let more students benefit from IBL. I was the Practice Teaching Facilitator at Michigan's Center of Research on Learning and Teaching, in which I inspired more instructors to use IBL in their teaching.
