I am Yuwen Hu, a Ph.D. Candidate in Technology and Operations at the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business. I am co-advised by Professor Izak Duenyas and Ekaterina Astashkina.

My research uses analytical modeling to address challenges in sustainable operations and platform design, with a recent focus on reducing food waste and using information to improve market outcomes.

I received my B.Eng. in Industrial Engineering and Management, with a second degree in International Economy and Trade, from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
