How do young children with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and their parental caregivers are collaboratively involved in health data tracking?
Child and parent pairs freely choose which topics they want to track for three weeks.
The child tracks at least one topic by him/herself, the parent also tracks one by him/herself and they together track one topic.
The child and parent can also choose between a paper diary or a smartphone application.
Child and parent pairs use the diary for 3 weeks.
At the end of each week, they receive a weekly report (example shown below) containing all the data they recorded together with their blood glucose data from the Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) device.
