Xiaoyu Qiu

Welcome! I am Xiaoyu, a second-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Statistics at the University of Michigan, gratefully coadvised by Professors Yang Chen and Liyue Shen.

Previously, I obtained my Bachelor's in Statistics from Zhejiang University with a minor in Advanced Class of Engineering Education (ACEE).

Research Interests

I am interested in developing and applying artificial intelligence and statistics methods to tackle clinical and medical application problems, especially in biomedical imaging such as MRI and CT. Currently, I work on diffusion-based generative models for real-world medical imaging tasks. Previously, I also worked on statistical methods for clinical trials and functional data analysis.
