No!  This year's Wellness Champion Gathering is completely free.

This year we will be holding our wellness champion gathering 100% virtually.  We have noticed that ever since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic this option has made it easier for many people to attend, especially those that don't live in close proximity to Ann Arbor.

Yes! All attendees will be able to earn SCECHs by attending the PHS Wellness Champion Gathering. This year, depending on how many presentations you attend, you can receive 1-5 SCECHs.  Check the Agenda page to see how many SCECHs each presentation will have.

Please note: SCECHs are only available to Michigan teachers.  For more information about State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs) click here

No.  We need everyone to register so we have updated emails to send out the Zoom link before the event starts.  We will also be utilizing a waiting room for the event, so if you do not register to attend, you will not be admitted into the Zoom webinar.

FYI-- Your contact information, including your email, will not be shared with any other organizations or companies.  Your contact info will only be used by us for Project Healthy Schools communications.

No!  This year the Project Healthy Schools Wellness Champion Gathering will be open to the public.  Feel free to share the registration link within your community and network with all who might benefit from this free event.  Even out-of-state educators and health professionals are welcome to attend, just note that only Michigan residents will be able to receive SCECHs.  Click here for more information about SCECHs.

In the spirit of why the wellness champion gathering was created in the first place, it's best to attend the event via computer so that you can have a camera and keyboard to interact with other attendees and speakers.  The PHS wellness champion gathering isn't meant to be a lecture, but rather an interactive event where wellness champs can connect with other wellness champs and also interact with each guest speaker.  The speakers we invite to these events are experts in their respective fields and we think it would be a big loss if wellness champions weren't able to ask questions or respond to questions that are posed to the group.  This does not mean you aren't allowed to call-in for the event, but it may result in the attendee receiving 0 SCECHs.
