Graduate Student Mentor (Department of Economics) - Fall 2017, Winter 2018

In this role, we are responsible for training and mentoring new teaching assistants (TAs) in the economics department. This involved conducting a week-long training program on teaching methods, classroom conduct etc. We also observe the lectures of news TAs to provide feedback and ensure the best practices are utilized. Throughout the year, we work with individual TAs to help improve their teaching pedagogy and offer guidance in maneuvering the teaching responsibilities.


Head Graduate Student Instructor (Intermediate Microeconomics) - Fall 2016, Winter 2017

As a Head GSI, I served as a liaison between the instructor and the TAs for the class. I was responsible for writing-up and reviewing exam questions as well as grading the exams and accommodating special needs. This experience also offered the opportunity to teach in large classrooms with over 100 students during review sessions.


Graduate Student Instructor (Intermediate Microeconomics) - Spring 2015, Spring 2016

Spring term at University of Michigan is 7 weeks long instead of the regular 15-week term. This usually means that the classes during spring are more intense and fast-paced, requiring quick turnaround.
