About Us
A nonpartisan student-led organization, Turn Up Turnout (TUT)’s goal is to increase civic engagement among all students at the University of Michigan. For those eligible to vote, we aim to increase voter education, registration, and turnout in presidential, midterm, and local elections regardless of political affiliation. Turn Up Turnout exists on the Dearborn, Flint, and Ann Arbor campuses, and works with the broader UMICH Votes coalition to promote civic engagement at the University of Michigan.
Statement of Nonpartisanship
Turn Up Turnout does not support or oppose candidates for public office or take a stand for or against any political party. We encourage active and informed participation in American democracy.
Note: TUT aims to provide an atmosphere where diverse opinions can be freely shared and used to further our initiative. Therefore, TUT is open to all U of M students, regardless of age or major.
