Postdoctoral Fellow Travel Award

The Office of Postdoctoral Studies provides $500 travel support to Postdoctoral Fellows whose first author abstracts are selected for oral or poster sessions at a conference or a meeting. Each year, 20 travel grants will be awarded.

Eligibility

• Currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan Medical School
• Previous awardee is NOT eligible

Factors to be considered

• Oral vs. poster presentation: Oral presentations will receive higher priority
• Previous attendance at Meetings/Conferences: Postdocs who have not attended a meeting in the past 12 months will receive higher priority
• Current funding situation of the PI: Those with more limited discretionary funds will receive higher priority
• Laboratory and Department: Units that have not received travel awards in the current year will receive higher priority
