Welcome! 

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science and Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and an Institute for Energy Solutions Graduate Fellow (2024-2025) at the University of Michigan. 

In general, I study global environmental politics and law. In particular, I am interested in contestation between climate activists and private interests taking place in the courts, on the streets, and at sites of (proposed) extraction -- as well as the role of states in shaping these conflicts. My research has focused on mobilization and repression of activism in various forms, including climate litigation, institutional carbon neutrality planning, peaceful protest, and violent direct action tactics in both US and international contexts. I have published in Environmental Politics, Review of Environmental Economics and Policy, and Health and Human Rights Journal, among other outlets. I am a Climate Social Science Network scholar and my work is supported by a CSSN seed grant (2025-2027). 

Previously, I served as Research Officer and an Associate Fellow of the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law. Prior to that, I received an M.Phil. in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge, and a B.A in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) and the Program in the Environment from the University of Michigan.
