I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Statistical Science at Duke University. I am working with Professors Surya Tokdar and David Dunson on Bayesian modeling. Prior to joining Duke, I obtained my doctoral degree from the Department of Statistics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, advised by Professor XuanLong Nguyen. Before joining the graduate program, I completed my Bachelors and Masters in Statistics from Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.
Aside from research, I enjoy playing guitar, reading, traveling, and playing chess.
My research interests include Bayesian inference, hierarchical and latent variable models, topic models, posterior contraction theory, scalable inference, contextual bandits. A detailed account of my research can be found here.
