Student Checklist
RSVP for you and your guests (about 1-4 guests per student). Send your slideshow picture(s) to socadvisor@umich.edu.
You are encouraged to make sure you and your guests are vaccinated, boosted, and complete the ResponsiBLUE screening check within 24 hours prior to the event.
Bring a 3"x5" notecard with your first and last name clearly printed/written with any phonetic pronunciation details of your name (see example below).
You are encouraged to wear a mask to the event.
Wear your cap & gown or professional attire.
Arrive at 3pm and take your seat at 3:30pm. Students will be seated in a separate student section (the seating area to the right when you walk in; see below).
When the time comes to "walk" across the stage: hand over your name card at the podium, begin walking when your name is called out, take a Sociology stole and place it around your neck like in the picture below, pose for a professional photo, and then walk all the way around the room to return to your seat (we'll have ushers to guide you).
