Welcome!
I am a PhD student in linguistics at the University of Michigan, working at the intersection of sociolinguistics, phonetics, and language contact. My current project examines how Polish print media construct and circulate discourse of Ukrainian refugees across the 2014–2026 period, with particular attention to how political positioning of outlets and major sociopolitical transitions shape the categories through which migrants are publicly imagined. My broader research interests include relationships between prosody and language ideology, media representations of migration, and Polish-Ukrainian language contact.
