President
My name is Siddhi and I am a second year master’s student in the General Epidemiology track at U-M SPH and the President of SEGH. I am originally a medical doctor from Mumbai, India with experience of working as a medical professional in Russia, India and the US.
Vision and goals of being the President for SEGH 2021-2022:
Support all Global Health students to transition into in-person training, connect and promote collaborations between first and second year students, global health faculty and staff.
Create opportunities within departments to network, aid in providing global health experiences, and connect students to resources.
Help create a strong sense of Global health community at SPH and raise global health awareness.
Cultivate diversity, inclusion and equity among Global Public Health students and more.
Fun Fact: Long walks and hikes are my new favourites, multilingual and a foodie who loves to cook.
My name’s Sasha and I’m a first year master’s student in General Epi and I’m hoping to get 4 (!!!!) certificates (Global Health, Social Epi, Rackham DEI, and CRLT Graduate Teaching.) I graduated from UofM last year with a double major in Biomolecular Science and History. Outside of SEGH, I’m a chemistry GSI, a peer advisor at the SPH career center, a research assistant in Dr.Bakker’s lab, an intern for the U.S. Department of VA, and a volunteer for the local humane society. Being involved in the community and meeting new people brings me so much joy and I can’t wait to meet more people through SEGH! This coming summer, I’m hoping to do work in Southeast Asia. For fun, I love to travel, lift weights, play IM sports, and watch all things Bachelor(ette)/BIP!
Vice President
Secretary
My name is Priya Bayisetti and I’m a second year Masters student in the Health Informatics program and I’m the secretary for SEGH :) I call Ann Arbor my hometown, but I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to live abroad in Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, and Canada . Having such a global upbringing, I saw the first hand impact and importance of diversity, inclusion, and global health measures. I attended University of Michigan, Michigan State, and Wright State University in Ohio for my undergraduate and medical training where I specialized in Global and Community Health. I enjoy connecting with my peers and generally spending time outdoors. I’m an avid runner, reader, hiker, and gardener. I had the pleasure of hiking Patagonia and doing the Salkantay and Incan trails to Machu Picchu. Looking forward to meeting fellow global health enthusiasts :)
Treasurer
I’m Tyler and I am a senior in the undergraduate program at UM SPH, and I am the treasurer for this year. I’m originally from San Diego, but I’ve lived in different parts of the world since then. In my free time I enjoy doing anything outdoor related whether it be hiking, biking, or skiing. I’m looking forward to getting to work with other students and community members this year through different events and projects and I'm greatly interested in the goals and objectives of SEGH.
My name is Hailey and I am a second year Masters student in the General Epidemiology program at UM SPH and I am the Service Chair for SEGH! I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI and completed my undergrad at Michigan State University. During undergrad I was able to study abroad in Malawi (the warm heart of Africa) where I climbed Mount Mulanje (pictured left)! I am really looking forward to facilitating service projects this year for our members because I truly enjoy engaging with peers and community members to perform service projects that can make an impact locally and also globally.

My name is Sierra and I am currently a second year Masters student in the General Epid program at SPH. I am also pursuing a certificate in risk science and human health. I’m from Long Island, NY, and completed my Bachelors degree in Biomolecular Science at U of M (Go Blue!!). A fun fact about me is that I traveled abroad twice during my undergraduate studies in Cape Town, South Africa as well as Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I also have an adorable frenchie named Ollie (who is unofficially the SEGH mascot). This year I am looking forward to engaging with students and the local community through service projects and fun social events.
My name is Frances and I am currently a second year dual degree student with the School of Public Health (and School of Social Work). I am currently studying General Epidemiology and doing the Social Epidemiology Certificate with SPH and did my undergrad in Health Promotion and Behavior, with a Global Health minor, at The University of Georgia. I am originally from New Orleans, but moved to Dallas later on in my youth. As an incoming board member, I personally look forward to knowing more about our members and how to increase my involvement in global health-related activities! And one fun fact about me was that my family line taught piano for generations; in fact, I played it for a while and am currently trying to regain my skills!
Internship Chair
Social Media Chair
I'm Mackenzie and I am currently an Undergraduate in my last year in the B.S. Public Health Sciences at the School of Public Health. I am from a small town in Michigan called Martin. I have a really cute cat named Gus, who I would say is our second unofficial mascot. I am really looking forward to being the social media chair and getting to reach out to all of our members! I look forward to meeting all of our members and getting to increase our organization's social media presence. A fun fact about me is that I was in the Michigan Marching band as a flag.
