Transport Options
DTW has two terminals:
McNamara Terminal
Evans (formerly North) Terminal
Each terminal has a Ground Transportation Center. Signs from Baggage Claim will point the way. From each Center you can take a bus, cab or ride share (Uber/Lyft).
Additional Travel Info:
The North Quad Building (conference venue), 105 South State Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48104, is near downtown Ann Arbor with restaurants, theaters, and shopping a few blocks away.
Ann Arbor is 25 miles from the Detroit Metro airport (DTW), a large, modern international airport. The Michigan Flyer (https://www.michiganflyer.com/), a bus service from DTW to downtown Ann Arbor, runs multiple times per day and drops off passengers at the bus station (Blake Transit Center). Round Trip Fare purchased in advance is currently $25. Ridesharing services are about $50 each way. Once you get to Ann Arbor it’s pretty easy to get around the city by bus, walking or rideshare.
Car rental is an option but currently (as of 05/2022) looks to be quite expensive from DTW, nearly $100/day. You may have to pay to park depending on the hotel, and those rates will vary.
Ann Arbor is also on the Amtrak Wolverine train route with 3 departures a day, which may be an option connecting or traveling from the Chicago area.
