I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan, where I work with  Prof. Vijay Subramanian. I received my B.sc. in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.  My general research interests lie in the span of Reinforcement Learning, Markov decision processes, and queueing theory. Specifically, I am interested in designing learning algorithms for optimal control of Markov decision processes governed by unknown parameters, with a focus on addressing resource control problems arising in queueing systems-based models of communication networks.

In my spare time, I do still life and abstract street photography and read books on topics of philosophy and political theory. Currently, I am reading First Democracy: The Challenge of an Ancient Idea
