We are excited to officially launch Rogel CONNECT (Community ONboarding, NEtworking, and Training). The program is designed to help our members learn more about cancer center services such as shared resources, working groups, research funding opportunities, and more. Rogel CONNECT resources are available to all members.
In addition, members can elect to be paired with an advisor for a more structured 12-month onboarding experience. Participants will watch module videos and meet with their advisor monthly to discuss each topic. Optional quarterly in-person networking sessions are also available to facilitate connections with Rogel faculty.
We recently piloted Rogel CONNECT and feedback was positive. Hear what these program participants have to say about their experience:
“Rogel Connect has been an excellent program! It has allowed me to learn way more than I thought I knew about the Cancer Center. As a new faculty member, it has also helped my integration into the Center.”
– Dr. Junior West
Assistant Professor
Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology
Rogel CONNECT pilot participant
“Participating in Rogel CONNECT has given me a deeper understanding of Rogel, including the shared resources available to members, and has allowed me to network with Rogel leadership and members to stay updated on Center priorities. I am able to share what I’ve learned, such as funding opportunities and programs like Emerging Cancer Scholars Exchange, with other faculty members in my department.”
– Dr. Elizabeth Covington
Clinical Associate Professor & Director of Quality and Safety
Department of Radiation Oncology
Rogel CONNECT pilot participant
