Our first Introduction to Quantum Computing Workshop is this Thursday 5:30 PM at 411 West Hall!
We're excited to kick off this semester with new and expanded quantum computing workshops to teach students of all backgrounds and grade levels the fundamentals of quantum computing, a growing field at the exciting intersection of physics, computer science, mathematics, and chemistry.
Participants will learn quantum computing concepts like superposition and entanglement and gain experience with hands-on programming labs in Qiskit and execute their programs on a cloud-based quantum computer.
Towards the end of the semester, you will build a quantum game project that implements quantum circuits and algorithms covered in the workshops.
These workshops serve as excellent preparation for the upcoming IBM Qiskit Fall Fest quantum hackathon on November 14th (more information will be released soon) and other quantum hackathons hosted by universities and companies worldwide.
This first workshop will introduce you to the basics of classical and quantum information and get you setup with using the IBM Qiskit SDK for quantum programming tutorials.
