TRAVEL/ACCOMMODATIONS

We recommend flying in to Detroit Metro Airport (DTW), which is 40 minutes from our campus. From the airport, you can use the Michigan Flyer to travel to the Blake Transit Center in Ann Arbor. Tickets are $15 and reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance. From the BTC, you can choose to take the Ride (bus #61, $1.50 fare) to the recommended hotels, or you can call an Uber, which should cost under $20. Additionally, an Uber from DTW to the recommended hotels is around $50.

As most meals will be taking place in the DoubleTree by Hilton, we recommend staying in that hotel or other hotels nearby, which include the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, or the Residence Inn by Marriott Ann Arbor North (most expensive). A room with 1 king bed/2 queen beds costs between $100-$150 (more for the Marriott), and we recommend booking as early as possible.

During the convention, we will provide transportation outlined in the schedule, that will mostly be to-and-from the hotel and our engineering campus. For nightlife, we will provide transportation to the event, but you will be responsible for Ubering back to the hotel afterwards.
