I am a Demographer and Sociologist with an interest in families, aging, and caregiving.
I am a Research Assistant Professor in the Demography of Aging, Disability, and Care program (DADC) at the Survey Research Center (SRC) within the Institute for Social Research (ISR) at the University of Michigan. My work is funded by a National Institute on Aging K99/R00 grant entitled "Caregiving, Complex Family and Kinship Ties, and Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD)." I also lead the educational outreach activities for the National Health and Aging Trends Study (NHATS) and National Study of Caregiving (NSOC).
I am an affiliate at the Michigan Center on the Demography of Aging (MiCDA), the Population Studies Center (PSC), the Stone Center for Inequality Dynamics (CID), and the Institute for Healthcare Policy & Innovation (IHPI). I am also a long-standing member of the Crossnational Aging Research Lab (CARL). I received my dual degree PhD in Demography and Sociology from the Pennsylvania State University in 2017.
Prior to obtaining my PhD, I worked at the Indiana Youth Institute on the KIDS COUNT project funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
