Bio:
I'm a Professor of Sociology and an Affiliate of Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. I write about gender inequalities, sexual misconduct, the transition to adulthood, social movements, higher education, and identities and the life course.
My work on young adulthood during the pandemic has been featured on BBC Reel, The Takeaway on National Public Radio, KNPR's State of Nevada and AirTalk--Southern California Public Radio, as well as in Salon, Insider, Axios, and Vox.
What I'm doing now:
My book, Gender Revolution: How Electoral Politics and #MeToo are Reshaping Everyday Life, is in press with Routledge (co-authored with Matthew Fleming).
I'm examining Sexual Harassment in the Higher Education Workplace with Francine Banner, Maureen Linker, Lisa Martin, Jean-Carlos Lopez and Kathleen Darcy.
I'm studying the young adult experience during the pandemic.
I'm wrapping up a study called Breaking Barriers or Locked Out: How Disadvantaged Students Experience College.
