The most convenient way of getting to Ann Arbor, MI, is by flying into the Detroit Metropolitan International Airport (DTW). DTW is located about 20 minutes east of Ann Arbor. McNamara Terminal and North Terminal contain domestic and international airlines, including Air Canada, Air France, Alaska Airlines, Delta, jetBlue, Lufthansa, Royal Jordanian, SkyTeam, Southwest, Spirit, US Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
To get to the airport, you can use AirRide, which is available for transportation to the airport from Ann Arbor. AirRide is a public transit service that operates daily between Ann Arbor and Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) and provides 13 daily trips between Ann Arbor and DTW. The first bus departs Ann Arbor Blake Transit Center (BTC) at 3:55 a.m., with the last bus departing DTW (McNamara Terminal) at 10:30 p.m.
Less convenient options for getting to Ann Arbor include taking a connecting flight to DTW from Chicago O'Hare Airport (ORD) or flying into Windsor International Airport (YQG) in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, which is an approximately 1 hour commute to Ann Arbor plus time in customs.
