We took our members to watch Project Hail Mary. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir (The author of the Martian) is about Ryland Grace, an amnesiac teacher turned astronaut who wakes up on a starship as humanity's last hope.

NSBP WHMC and the Community of Physicists for Inclusion and Equity (CoPhIE) members got together to honor black scientists and engineers who inspired and paved the way for future academics and professionals. NSBP WHMC presented a snippet of history about the contributions and achievements of black people in STEM. CoPhIE hosted and organized the event, facilitating great discussion and donated a book to the advocacy lending library to memorialize our first collaboration!
