Principal Investigator: Lauren MacKeigan
Lauren is a senior BBA student at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. As her capstone requirement, she is conducting a research thesis (BA480) focused on collegiate Name, Image, and Likeness. Her research topic was motivated by her interest and previous experience working with sport businesses through the Michigan Sport Consulting Group and inspired the curriculum taught in Equity Analytics (STRAT415) at Ross.
Faculty Advisor: Chris Rider, PhD
Chris Rider is the Thomas C. Kinnear Professor at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business and one of his research focuses includes racial disparity in sports. Dr. Rider designed and launched STRAT 415, an Equity Analytics course that prepares students to analyze and address disparities in business opportunities and outcomes. Dr. Rider is currently involved in projects that investigate racial disparity in the career progression of athletes competing in Olympic sports and has previously completed research on the NFL's Rooney Rule.
