Message from the Guest Editor
This Special Issue of Vision will be dedicated to
understanding how new technologies and new
applications of technology—ranging from telemedicine
to artificial intelligence to eHealth applications—are
impacting eye disease and vision outcomes. You are all
working in areas of research where you are quantifying
the impact of new technologies on eye health and vision
outcomes. Technology in all its various manifestations is
having huge impacts on healthcare, with both positive
and negative consequences for patient outcomes. It is
thus important for us, as a research community, to
assess its impacts. We are accepting manuscripts
pertaining to all aspects of how new technologies and
technology-based approaches are impacting eye
disease, vision, and patient-related eye care outcomes.
