Kayla had an abstract titled The association between Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes and Statin Use among Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma Patients accepted at American Head and Neck Society 10th International Conference on Head and Neck Cancer “Survivorship through Quality and Innovation” for a podium presentation. Due to COVID-19, the conference has been postponed to 2021.
PhD student, Katharine Brieger, successfully defended her dissertation "Modifiable Risk Factors During and After Women’s Reproductive Years: From Prenatal Nutrition to Postmenopausal Exposures." She is due to return to medical school to complete her MD. Congratulations, Kate!

Students participated in the One Day Closer event hosted by the Rogel Cancer Center. The event showcases how researchers and clinicians at the Rogel Cancer Center are getting us one day closer to a cure for cancer.
