About the Project

Hi, I'm Michelle! I'm a PhD candidate in Sociology at the University of Michigan and the lead researcher for this project. 

This project examines how newly postpartum mothers use TikTok as they transition to motherhood. 

I'm hoping to interview women across southeast Michigan on their experiences viewing content on TikTok to understand how this informs their identities as mothers. 

Interviews will last roughly 90 minutes via zoom or in-person and participants will be compensated $60 for their time!
