35th Annual Health Sciences
MLK Lecture
35th Annual Health Sciences
MLK Lecture
The Health Science MLK Program was established in 1990, known originally as “the Dean’s event,” this program has evolved from a pioneering effort of interprofessional partnership to a lasting collaboration. The Health Science MLK Committee is comprised of representatives from each of the seven health science schools and colleges on behalf of their deans. Annually, the seven schools and colleges rotate leadership of the Health Science MLK committee and host the annual Health Science MLK Lecture.
This program seeks to explore how the health science discipline can actively contribute to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in and across the disciplines. This site carries the history of this thriving health science partnership and is updated annually to promote the year's events.
We encourage you to explore our past events that include event recordings when possible. Together we can further Dr. King’s legacy and enrich this historic partnership between the U-M Health Science schools and colleges.
Michigan Medicine and the MLK Health Sciences Committee invite you to attend the 2025 Health Sciences MLK Lecture.
