My research focuses on the solar wind-magnetosphere coupling using global numerical simulations together with in-situ observations. The specific areas of interest are the energy transfer at the magnetopause boundary as well as the stucture of and plasma flows at the nightside neutral sheet. My background is in observational solar wind research, particularly in sheath regions driven by interplanetary coronal mass ejections, and I conduct synergistic studies where the geoeffective impacts of multi-scale solar wind structures are assessed.
