The Black Graduate Student Association was founded in the winter semester of 2023 with the intention of addressing the lack of interdisciplinary engagement between Black graduate students. By prioritizing social programs and cultural events that highlighted the need for intersection and issues impacting academic security and mental health, the organization has since amassed a membership of over 100 graduate students.
Currently, our executive board is held down by seven graduate students in six different departments across campus.
