NEw research funding!
Dr. Lara Coughlin and Dr. Erin Bonar recently received funding for a 5-year large, randomized study: Comparing Remotely Delivered Interventions To Promote Cessation Among Adults Who Smoke Menthol Cigarettes
This new grant is funded through the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and will compare Tobacco Quitline coaching with and without an incentive program involving daily breath monitoring.
Colleagues & Friends Night at CPA 2025!
Lara Coughlin, PhD, MI-ACRE Co-Director and Anne Fernandez, PhD, MI-ACRE Director of Clinical Research, along with their colleagues Katie Witkiewitz, PhD, Director of UNM CAAS and Christopher Kahler, PhD, Director of Brown University CASAA, hosted a “Colleagues & Friends Night” at the April 2025 Collaborative Perspectives on Addiction (CPA) Annual Meeting, in Providence, RI.
This MI-ACRE coordinated event gave attendees a fun, relaxed opportunity to re-connect and network with one another outside of the conference. The event was packed with over 100 addiction experts coming together to enjoy great addiction science talk... and gourmet pretzels!
