Led by Vivian Kaufman, CHOICE Lab alumni, this publication explores how Section 1115 Demonstration Waivers are reshaping substance use disorder treatment through pilot contingency management (CM) programs. MI-ACRE co-authors include: Dr. Devin Tomlinson, Lauren Hellman, Dr. Allison Lin, Dr. Anne Fernandez and Dr. Lara Coughlin.

MI-ACRE Co-Director's Dr. Lara Coughlin & Dr. Allison Lin's newest publication shows veterans who received incentives to stay in recovery from stimulants like meth & cocaine had a 41% lower risk of death from all causes compared to those who didn’t.
“This is the strongest real-world evidence to date that contingency management care for people with stimulant use disorder is linked to a significant drop in deaths. It shows the importance of the VA’s leadership in making CM available to veterans." ~Dr. Coughlin

U-M Injury Prevention Center
MI-ACRE Director of Research Strategy, Dr. Erin E. Bonar, co-led the U-M Injury Prevention Center's Impact of Recreational Cannabis Legalization in Michigan report.
Along with MI-ACRE Strategic Advisor Dr. Maureen Walton as a co-author, this report focuses on the impact of recreational cannabis policy in Michigan.
