2-3pm: Join us for a Tango Bootcamp Class led by Claudio Cortes! Perfect for both beginners, and dancers of any level wanting a refresh in the foundations of tango.

3-6pm: After the class, apply your learnings and join in for relaxed social tango dancing in the courtyard of the Michigan Union! Have a drink at the cafe, dance tango, and mingle with us in this new beautiful space's first milonga. Feel free to chat with 'Tango Mentors' around the event and ask any questions about this underground dance and culture of Argentine tango. The sun will begin to set around the 5pm mark and we will be dancing under a changing glass sky...

*No partner/experience necessary

What to Know

• Explore something new, work on your dance, and experience deep connection with partners to the music

• Feel free to ask experienced dancers questions, who are happy to share

• If you have zero Argentine tango experience, these practices are a casual way to check out Argentine tango. No need to bring a partner, but the more the merrier. All that is needed is comfortable clothing and smooth clean soles or socks
