The first prototype we made was a table top version we created at Festifall. This prototype gives a very broad overview of how an aquaponics system works.

We decided to create a smaller system first,ebb-flow system, to ensure each member of the group had a clear understanding of the system. This system has the same exact concepts as the one we are working towards creating, just on a smaller scale.

To the left is a diagram of the setup we are working to achieve. Many parts of the design have been purchased, and we are working on solidifying the specific dimensions of each part before we begin the building process.
The systems we worked on last semester provided each member in the group with a deeper understanding of the principles of aquaponics. Each part from the first system will be integrated into the new system in some way, ensuring the optimal use of our funding.
