ABOUT ME

Welcome to my Writing 220 E-Portfolio!

Hi, my name is Lys Goldman! I'm a sophomore studying Sport Management at the University of Michigan, with a minor in Writing and anticipated minors in Business and Art & Design. I'm originally from Westport, Connecticut.

Some of my biggest passions revolve around sports, design, and journalism. Outside of the classroom, I'm involved in The Michigan Daily sports and design sections as well as the Michigan Sport Business Conference planning team. 

I'm part of a crazy big family — with nine siblings, four total parents, six dogs, five cats, and a sporadic collection of other household pets (hamsters, turtles, bunnies, frogs, birds... we really had the whole lot). My dad and I always bonded over our mutual love of sports, which is where this project was born!

A few other tidbits about me... I love to cook, grocery shop (huge Trader Joe's fan), spend time with my aforementioned pets (especially my cat Rocco), and rewatch Gilmore Girls.
