Goal: Improve osseointegration of total hip implant to prevent aseptic loosening
Due to an increasing osteoarthritis population, there is a critical need for a revised hip implant design that addresses aseptic loosening through improved osseointegration to reduce the need for secondary revision surgeries for elderly women who undergo total hip arthroplasty, which would improve overall outcomes for nearly 300,000 patients.
