My Teaching Philosophy:

I am dedicated to fostering a music education for students of all ages that is malleable, engaging, and empowering. My students leave the classroom feeling excited about the work they are doing, energized for their other coursework, and above all, valued as a musician and person. My students remain at the core of my teaching pedagogy at all times. Students with different needs learn best in a variety of ways; this is why my classroom will promote flexibility. Some ways I will exhibit student-centered learning in my classroom include small group discussions/sectionals, space for check-ins, independent projects, and occasional class periods combining learning and games.
