Teaching

I am a lab instructor for Math 124 (Vectors, Matrices, and Applications) in Fall '26.

My past teaching experiences are:

(Summer '26) I developed the first iteration of Math 124 joint w/ Kartik Prasanna, Suraj Rampure, Sanjana Datla, Sarah Shapin and Malik Alabbas. My duties included writing the first draft of lecture notes and designing the syllabus.
(Fall '25, Winter '26) Primary instructor for Math 115.

Name

My Korean name is Hyeonggeun Kim (Korean: 김형근 📖 / IPA: [ki(ː)m.çʌ̹ŋ.kɯn] 🔊).

You are also welcome to call me Aaron like most of my friends and colleagues!

Personal

I grew up in Seoul, South Korea, but I've also spent some years in Atlanta, Busan and Cambridge.

In my free time, I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee (I played for Strange Blue in 2024-25) and listening to jazz, classical and choral music. I also like to go hiking and skiing.
