Kimberly Conlon

I am an Economist at the Federal Trade Commission.  My research interests lie in industrial organization and applied microeconomics. My dissertation studied the impact that new technology can have on consumer welfare and the strategic responses from firms. In particular, my research examined the entry of streaming services and the impact they had on the television industry.

I grew up in Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2010 with a B.S. in economics and minors in mathematics and statistics. Before attending Michigan, I spent three years as a research assistant in the International Finance Division at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
