snSMART

We are interested in design and methodological improvements in Sequential, Multiple Assignment, Randomized Trials in small samples (n). We have a PCORI contract where we are developing Bayesian and Frequentist methods to find 1) the best first-stage treatment and 2) the best dynamic treatment regimen  by sharing information across stages. We are developing analytic, sample size and adaptive methods.

SMART

We are interested in the design and analysis of Sequential, Multiple Assignment, Randomized Trials with binary and survival outcomes.

Furthermore, we are interested in collaborating across disease areas to design and implement SMART designs. Thus far, we have been co-investigators on NIH sponsored grants funding SMARTs in areas such as: adolescent drinking and risky behaviors, insomnia, and malaria prevention.
