Research on role development identifies some select practices which assist in successful campaigns for most non profit volunteer organizations (National Student Support Accelerator, Steinhorn).
Offer various roles for members to be involved with, so they may engage with a commitment which works best for them

We are offering four Sample K-12 Volunteer Role Descriptions to assist in defining volunteer roles if the community partner you are working with does not already have some in place.
These descriptions are intended to be used as a starting point and provide an overview of what is expected from different types of volunteer services.
