What is the problem you are trying to solve?
1) Identification of patients likely show disease progression, 2) Defining new methods to establish progression, and 3) Categorizing the relationship among different types of disease progression in patients with Glaucoma.
Why is it important
This research is important because providing solutions to these issues improves the care for patients diagnosed with chronic conditions. It enables the clinician to take preventative care and potentially curtails disease progression before adverse outcomes are realized.
What is the problem you are trying to solve?
Optimizing Glaucoma patients' treatment by detecting the best time for patients to be checked for disease progression as to minimize over treatment and maximize patients’ quality of life.
Why is it important
This research is important because by identifying the optimal time to next test for patients that do not require treatment, we can help the provider better focus on those that do. This in turn reduces frees up healthcare resources enabling better access to care for this patient population.
