Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) is the nearest major airport to Ann Arbor. Ground transportation from the airport to Ann Arbor can be done via bus or Uber/Lyft. The trip takes roughly 30 minutes.
Bus: Michigan Flyer provides regular bus service at low cost ( $15 per ride) to Ann Arbor. Book your trip in advance. At the airport take the escalator up to the departure floor after the bag retrieval area and wait outside by the international flight check-in entrance. The flyer takes you to the Ann Arbor bus station, which is convenient to central hotels and about a 20 minute walk from main campus.
Uber/Lyft or Taxi: To get to the taxi and rideshare pickup area, take the escalator up from baggage claim to the second floor, then walk across the connecting hallway to descend toward the parking garage. Rides should take 30-40 minutes and cost around $50 depending on how busy the app is.
