Through teaching and mentoring, I have had some of the most memorable and unique experiences of my time as a graduate student. I aim to teach and mentor in a way that prioritizes student engagement, contextual understanding, and critical thinking. Selected Mentoring Experiences
Scholarship, Transferable skills, Academia, & Research (STAR) Scholars Mentor:
Facilitate the involvement of underrepresented students in research through structured mentoring, assisting undergraduate students in preparing for research roles, increasing the number of students engaged in advanced research, and providing academic support to foster an inclusive community.
Undergraduate Research Assistants Mentor:
I currently supervise and mentor a team of undergraduate students in the Cognitive and Affective Neuropsychology Lab. Additionally, I have previous experience co-mentoring an undergraduate student on their honors thesis, which focused on affective working memory and affective forecasting abilities in relation to the 2024 presidential election.
