Hi, my name is Harini and I am a fourth-year doctoral student in the Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience area at the University of Michigan, working in the Cognitive and Affective Neuroimaging Lab (PI: Dr. Patricia Reuter-Lorenz).
My research interests focus on examining cognitive and functional differences in aging populations. Currently, I am interested in developing methods to investigate the cognitive and neurological mechanisms underlying memory impairments. My goal is to enhance our understanding of why memory declines with age and to identify interventions or strategies that may help preserve or improve memory function.
Before joining the University of Michigan, I earned a B.S. in Psychology (Neuroscience) from Pennsylvania State University in 2020, where my interest in research was sparked during my time as a research assistant in the Cognitive Aging and Neuroimaging Lab (PI: Dr. Nancy Dennis). I then earned an M.A. in Bioethics and Medical Humanities from Case Western Reserve University in 2021, and in 2023, I obtained my M.S. in Psychology from the University of Michigan.
